I have read many people facing problems while using JIO sim, whether its about Speed, network problem, calling. So here are some Fast Facts and FAQs about your Queries.

1) The internet speed on mobile is slow. What do I do?

  • Once you exceed the daily data usage limit of 4GB for the day, your internet speed will get reduced to 128 kbps. Your high speed internet will be restored within 24 hours, and you will receive an SMS notification from Jio on your Jio number post consuming the 4GB data for the day.
  • If you are experiencing slow browsing speed on a specific website/app, it is likely to be an issue related to that particular website/app.
    Speed of data download is dependent on number of parameters, particularly, the signal strength at the location. This in turn depends on surroundings, indoor/outdoor location, signal obstructions etc. Hence under certain combination of conditions, data download speeds may be less than satisfactory. Moving to more favourable location would help significantly.

2) Unable to Connect Internet on Device?

  • Check if your mobile is compatible with Jio 4G VoLTE or LTE network.
  • Enable the network settings on your device.

  • Restart your mobile if you are still not getting VoLTE / LTE / 4G sign on the device.
  • Ensure that you have completed the tele-verification process using your Jio SIM by dialing 1977.

3) Unable to call on other operator numbers?

If you are able to call Jio numbers but facing issue while calling any other operator numbers, it is because of insufficient interconnection capacity provided by them.

4) Unable to make Calls?

If you are unable to make calls through JIO sim, you may need to check your network of the sim or can troubleshoot by

  • Check if your mobile phone is compatible with Jio 4G VoLTE or LTE network.
    If you are using an LTE compatible mobile, install Jio4GVoice App to make calls.
  • Ensure your Android or iOS mobile phone is updated with the latest device software.
  • Ensure the network settings on your device are enabled.
  • Restart your mobile if you are still not getting VoLTE / LTE / 4G sign on the device.
  • Ensure that you have completed the tele-verification process using your Jio SIM by dialing 1977.
